Domestic properties now require an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)

How does this affect you?

Homeowners
When a homeowner decides to sell their home they must obtain a Home Information Pack (HIP). A mandatory element of the HIP is an Energy Performance Certificate. From 1 April 2009 the HIP and EPC must be in place before marketing the property. It follows therefore that obtaining the HIP and EPC quickly is of paramount importance. We at Commsurv pride ourselves on our fast efficient service.

Landlords
Rental properties such as “buy to lets” etc. now require an EPC before the letting takes place and this must be made available to the prospective tenant.

As Chartered Surveyors and Energy Assessors we offer the following service to HIP providers, Estate Agents, landlords and homeowners:

Competitive pricing
Discount given on volume eg portfolios
Fast, efficient and reliable service
Guidance and advice regarding the Regulations
Experienced property professionals
Regulated by RICS
